The Bridging the Gap (BTG) Coordinated Entry System (CES) is the Hawai'i Balance of State (Hawai‘i County, Maui County, and Kaua‘i County) Continuum of Care (CoC) approach to organizing and providing services and assistance to families and individuals experiencing a housing crisis throughout the Continuum of Care.
The 2019 Bridging the Gap (BTG) Point in Time Count was conducted on January 22, 2019, revealing a 2% decline in one-day homeless on the Neighbor Islands from 2,035 persons in 2018 to 1,995 in 2019. This decrease was lead (TODO: change to led) by a 7% decline in unsheltered homelessness.
